Jake Fleshner is a Los Angeles native and senior at Milken Community High School. He is better known though as a sports junkie,a people connector,an app enthusiast, and a world traveler. He chases after hockey pucks, ice cream flavors, loyal friends, and solar eclipses. He lives his life according to Wayne Gretzky's motto: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
Biased Love
Feeling alive
In the valley of death
As I strive to survive
Sighing every breath

Faith, death, happiness and love.
The door works like a grimy corner.
Resembling an effortless dove
She comforts the isolated mourner

The window grows like a noisy girl.
Time passes in the waning of night
I envy her flawless twirl
O! The beautiful wight

Cannot control the emotion
My heart yearns to satisfy
Requires an unknown potion
Gratify the senseless nature! Gratify!

Feeling dead
In the valley of life

Lost for words
His Love was biased
The Time Will Come
The end, nor far nor here
dandelions dancing in the sun
happiness sprouting in cheer
children dancing, what fun!

the end is not here
sunshine awakens the moon
youth eager to hear
as the birds chirp in tune

the end is far
party all night, no regrets.
drink! Buy the bar!
tingling in conflicted threats.

And in the blink of an innocent eye,

The end is not far
Black clouds
fill the sky
Violent knights
waiting to spar
The unknown
filled with lie

The end is here.
Dark
Angel
Has arrived
Trying
Not to hear.
Finally
It’s here
eternal rest
at last
