Beautifully Flawed

My own strength is weak
But You are omnipotent

But You love unconditionally
My words turn harsh in a moment of time

I have found the closer I am to You
The more beauty I see
In the world around me

Puzzle

This phase appears foggy
The future is unknown
Every puzzle piece is scattered

And each day I seem to lose one
I am scared of the unknown
Scared that I may disappoint

Or not become successful
But I continue my journey and remember
To follow my passion

And each day a piece seems to appear
Fitting beautifully in my life of chaos
In the least obvious places

Creating a picture
A picture that will not be completed
Till the day I die

I wish you could see the impact
You made in every individual’s life
That had the privileged of knowing you
You showed me the impact a meek spirit
Has on the world
You lived a beautiful life and I was blessed
To have you part of mine
I miss eating your home cooked meals
And sitting next to you in church
I miss hearing your contagious laugh
And seeing your genuine smile
You were home to me
And even though you are
Not here with me on Earth
You are still part of my life
You left a mark in my life
And still inspire me
By the way you live
There will always be a part
Of you here with Papa
But it will never be the same
With you gone
I know you are where you belong
One day I will feel your warm hug

Enchantment

Her heart of gold
Creates beauty in simplicity
Her piercing eyes
Hypnotize any one in range
Her blood red lips
Lure in even the innocent

This enchantment was unavoidable

Her royal blue dress formed
Beautifully around every curve
And her array of gold jewels
Against her bronzed skin
Captivated the room’s attention

I was enchanted from the start

She carried herself with ease
As if no one else was in the room
And laughed fearlessly
Of the unknown
Creating a life of passion

With eyes filled with compassion
She danced under the city lights
The moon bouncing off her flawless skin
With her crown of flowers
 Intertwined in her long dark hair

She portrayed a sense
Of innocence and free will
Creating a beauty of her own
Among a world filled with darkness
She lit up the sky with her heart of gold

I was forever enchanted
