Howl: What advice do you have for budding writers?
Soyinka: That advice is - Write! Send your efforts to literary journals, to newspapers with literary sections, to online media, to your peers, to publishers. Consider every commentary, every criticism, even lack of response a spur along the arduous process. Treasure each rejection slip as a badge of honour and - continue to write. Ensure that you have an alternative means of living!
